“And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full. And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm,” (Mark 4:37, 39 KJV).
I heard the Spirit of the Lord say, “Peace in the storm.” I was reminded of a fierce storm and fiery trial I was experiencing just this past Sunday. I recognized it’s origin. I knew it was the enemy doing everything he could to discourage me. I knew in the realm of the spirit there was an oppression against me as I would be ministering that morning. But the enemy’s attempts completely failed as the Spirit of the Lord flooded my spirit with an abundance of peace.
As I got up to minister that morning the Spirit of God and His anointing fell so powerfully that the thought of what I was going through that morning was an afterthought. I had such PEACE in the midst of the STORM.
I share this testimony because I strongly sensed the Spirit of God really wanted to encourage those of you who are weathering through the storm presently. The Lord reminded me in my spirit of the disciples who were in the midst of a storm upon the Sea of Galilee. They assumed that because Jesus was sleeping in the corner of the boat that He did not care or was unconcerned or maybe even unaware of their present circumstances. Their natural response to the storm was to panic and be filled with anxiety. But with ONE word Jesus calmed the storm and ushered in the peace of God to their situation. My beloved brothers and sisters their is a PEACE available to you in the midst of YOUR storm!
In this hour the Spirit of God is reminding His children that He is not sleeping, nor slumbering, nor is He surprised at the storm you are currently in. Oh, the winds are blowing, the rain is pouring down, the waves are crashing all around you, yet there is ONE with you that will impart to you a PEACE that surpasses all understanding. His peace will begin to pour into and flood your very soul! So much so that instead of the problem being magnified, the Lord will be glorified in and through the storm as you stay fixed upon Him.
My brothers and sisters this word is stirring mightily in my spirit for the body of Christ. Grab a hold of this Word! Cling to His promises! There is ONE in the boat WITH you during the STORM! He is the PRINCE of PEACE!
His peace is imparted to you! Take it, receive it, and walk in it. Remember this precious Word of the Lord to you, “And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus,” Philippians 4:7, KJV.
