Speak to Your Soul: Chill Out!
As I was reading my Devotional, The LORD spoke to me out of Psalm 62,
“My soul, wait silently for God alone, for my expectation is from Him.” Psalm 62:5.
In these recent times of many changes and the constant turmoil going on in the world, The LORD has constantly been drawing me unto himself to be still and just listen for direction on How to Pray!
These are times of great trials and temptations and so much double-mindedness.
Yes, we are being transformed and about to experience what many have prophesied (including me) that we are entering into the best of times and the worst of times — and as we work through the worst and God turns it around, we shall be see much Exposure, Disclosure, and Recovery.
Stress is not a new thing, but the recent times of US Elections and selections have revealed much that has been concealed.
There has been a frustration for many who found themselves vacillating back and forth with decisions — and much stress.
The Deep Deception that has been at work, is coming forth, as The LORD is bringing correction to the evil and destruction that has taken place.
The LORD has been true to His promises, to shine His Light into the darkness. As I recently prophesied in the Word: “Promises Made, Promises Kept“.
The LORD spoke to me as I waited in silence, “Daughter, please remind My People as they are seeking Me in Prayer, that they must not listen to the voice of their soul, for their emotions are trying to lead them astray.
They are trying to shut down their spirit, with despair.
In times of duress and stress, send this reminder that they must first allow My Mind to arise in their thinking.
I desire to teach My People to think with The Mind of Christ — and allow Me to show them what is flowing from My heart to their heart!”
This made me stop and think about something The LORD pointed out tome quite some time ago when He said, “Listening is hearing what is said — not what you think SHOULD be said.”
He went on to say, “Many of My People who have not trained their soul to be still and hear clearly what The Spirit is saying, are thinking more about what they want to say, instead of considering what is being said!
That is why I spoke to you, to remind those who are praying to silence the voice of their mind, will and emotions — and be still in My Presence!”
That made me remember what happened a long time ago when I was just learning to practice “His Presence” and listen to His voice.
I was praying and asking Him to speak to me, and I was being still before Him and nothing happened.
I could not sense His Presence and He did not speak.
I did this for several days and one morning I came in to pray and entered into Prayer the same way when instantly He Spoke audibly, and His Presence as He entered was so strong, it lifted me up and it seemed like I was moved across the room as He said, “I AM HERE!”
I was speechless. He then said, “I was Here all the time — as I was testing your desire to be in My Presence.”
I will never forget that day.
Many years later, as I was speaking at a Gathering, we waited in silence for His Presence for a very long time.
There was no ‘feeling’ that He was there, and people were very uncomfortable and squirming in their seats.
The silence lasted so long that many got up and left and when the crowd got very small, the Presence of The LORD fell on the place and joy and laughter broke out all over the audience.
I also feel to share another example that I will never forget.
It was a demonstration of TRUTH.
It is good to hear a teaching but very effective to see it ‘play out’ as they say.
I was in a Conference when Joy Dawson, (one of my all-time favorite YWAM teachers) was going to speak on Intercession.
She came to the podium and gave a very short greeting and then stopped and got down on her face and did not say one word.
It caused the women in the conference to be very uncomfortable.
It turned out she was obeying The LORD and demonstrating that if He did not speak, she had nothing to say.
She literally demonstrated the lesson that an Intercessor relies on The LORD’s Instruction and He instructed her to demonstrate complete obedience to His Voice!
She said, upon arising, “The LORD will choose many ways to test our obedience as we learn intercession.”
I may be paraphrasing a bit — but the memory of it is written on my heart.
In this instance, we waited as she obeyed The Real Intercessor.
It was what I called a Real Life Lesson on The Truth of what Intercession was all about. — learning to hear and obey what is on His Heart for us to Pray.
I believe we are in a critical moment of time when The LORD is calling us unto Himself for important direction and equipping for the end-times.
Transformation and transition are happening very quickly.
To God be the Glory.

Woow..amazing.. thank you Lord..
Thank you Sis for your input. I am so glad you received His word of testimony in my life that I pray will help others like yourself. God richly bless you, Sandi
Pam, That is so typical of how the Lord interrupts our plans!! Especially for intercession. I sometimes think it is part of teaching us to always stop and let Him give us what is on HIS heart instead of what is on ours, even if we have something that is ‘unfinished’. No teacher like the Holy Spirit. We are in a serious time of intercession that seems more urgent every day. Hugs to you too! Sandi
I totally agree! There has to be obedience or there is nothing.
I understand I went into prayer yesterday to pray for the this Nation and other Nations BUT the greatest Intercessor took me in a different direction to pray for someone all morning and I saw the results and it was amazing and this person was totally set free and the Glory goes to GOD. I love Joy Dawson have some of her books and I treasure them. The Lord told me a that our minds and our hearts have to become one with His, we have to think the way He thinks and love the way He LOVES. and this is what I pray for the Remnant everyday and YES we are in the best of times and the worse of times. Hugs Pam
