Who needs a shot of joy? Remember … The LORD is with us, and His joy is our strength!
In this episode of Spirit Connection, I go deeper into the theme of repenting and utilizing Bible verses. As we examine our hearts and pray, it’s important to also worship The LORD with joy.
- The many ways God is with us, no matter what we are going through.
- A simple way to receive encouragement from The LORD.
- Some amazing benefits of asking The LORD for mercy.
- How praising and praying brings healing and restoration.
The joy of The LORD is our strength! As we go through a time of examining our hearts and praying, it’s important to also turn things around with worship and joy.
The LORD is with us
“The LORD is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble.” Psalm 9:9 NIV
This is an amazing promise from The LORD and He is battling for us right now. He is our stronghold, and He will get us through any troubles we are experiencing.
The LORD knows and understands the details of what we are going through. He has not forgotten us.
If you need encouragement, just ask The LORD!
Repentance is important for us to clear out anything we might have in our heart or life. There can be hidden things The LORD wants to reveal and heal.
Let’s ask The LORD right now to reveal anything we need to deal with or repent for.
True Lord Jesus, we ask that You would reveal anything known or unknown that we need to bring to You in prayer and repentance … or anything we need to change in our lives. Amen.
Let’s take a minute right now to pray and search our hearts.
There are many Bible verses we can use. This will help us walk through a process and it’s a powerful tool.
Ask for forgiveness
“Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, “I will confess my transgressions to The LORD. And you forgave the guilt of my sin.” Psalm 32:5 NIV
We don’t have to carry a heavy burden ourselves. We can lay it down with The LORD. Once we acknowledge our sin and confess it to The LORD, He will forgive us.
It’s a good idea to do this daily… maybe even several times a day if needed. You can use Psalms 32:5 or other Bible Verses or just pray.
Ask The LORD for mercy
“Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love; according to your great compassion blot out my transgressions. Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin.” Psalm 51:1-2 NIV
As we confess our sins and ask forgiveness, we can ask The LORD to have mercy on us and reveal His love and compassion. This will help to remove any guilt and condemnation.
The Bible tells us, “Mercy triumphs over judgment” (James 2:13).
The LORD’s love for us is great and His compassion for us never fails. Especially when we are going through difficult times.
The LORD is with us!
Praising and praying brings healing
“Praise The LORD, my soul; and all my inmost being, praise his holy name. Praise The LORD, my soul, and forget not all his benefits — who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases.” Psalm 103:1-3 NIV
As we praise The LORD, sing and worship and decree the Bible, The LORD will bring healing, redemption and restoration in our lives.
Remember, the joy of The LORD is our strength!
Repentance prayer to break through:
I’m going to walk you through a process that I use.
I find Bible verses, pray in the promises, agree with others, and do deep repentance of anything I might have in common that would stop The LORD from moving and blessing us.
It is important to add worship, fun and joy to this!
Think about it, pray about it and let’s agree together for your needs.
What do you specifically need?
Here’s how you can remove any strongholds, jam-ups, gridlocks and delays:
Repent, renounce, and break anything we have “in common,” including generational– soul ties, curses and things we may have done knowingly or unknowingly.
We also come into agreement in prayer to break out of the things that are holding us back.
We forgive and break off the spirit of unforgiveness. (We don’t have to agree with the person or people who wanted us to forgive them.)
Lord, I ask forgiveness if I have done anything that has hurt anyone… if I’ve come into agreement with anything knowingly or unknowingly against this message. Or anything that would stop you from breaking us out of the old season and into the new.
Also, I asked forgiveness for any misuse of anything you’ve given me known or unknown.
Lord, we ask You to flush out the things that are unseen and send them to where the true Jesus sends them.
In the name of the true Lord Jesus. Amen.
