Have you ever walked outside and felt a mist on your face, yet the skies were clear?
It can even happen inside. I have felt this several times, especially when in a difficult moment in my life.
And I heard today that this is the OVERSHADOWING of God, His Gentle Mist, His Living Waters to let you know that He is with you.
It is the Gentle Mist of His Presence, to let you know that His Healing Rain is coming. It is the Glory Cloud of His Presence enveloping you; to remind you that He never leaves nor forsakes you and His Gentleness, His Overshadowing will cause you to overcome!
“Beloved. There are time I manifest Myself to you in the Wind and in the Fire and in Great Glory.
And there are times I come to you in the Gentleness of the Savior. When you are hurting and weak and have little strength left, it is then My Presence envelopes you in My Shalom Peace.
The Spirit settles upon you and surrounds you and covers you in My Shadow. When you cry out to Me, immediately by My Spirit, I shall come to you like the gentle rain comes upon the dry earth, to refresh and renew; to bring you New Life; to bring you face to face with Me and remind you in Whose Presence you dwell.
My going forth is certain as the Dawn; I come to you as a Healing Rain. My right hand upholds you; and My gentleness makes you great. In your darkest hour, I AM overshadowing you, Beloved.
I AM hiding you from the enemy, He cannot see through the Heavenly Mist for you are hidden in Christ.
I shall cause your circumstances to change; My Plans SHALL come to pass. This is the Dew of Heaven, the Gentle Mist of Creative Energy at work in your life.
Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit says The LORD of Hosts. Look up to the Heavens, My Child, look into My Shining Face.
The Brightness of My Glory is overshadowing you. Healing Rain is falling upon your face.”
MIST : Water in the form of particles floating or falling in the atmosphere at or near the surface of the earth and approaching the form of rain; OVERSHADOW. (Merriam Webster) Strong’s Hebrew 108 (in the sense of enveloping); a fog — mist, vapor. (Biblehub)
OVERSHADOW : Strong’s Greek 1982: episkiázō (from 1909 /epí, “upon” and skiazō, “to cast shade”) – properly, to cast a shadow on; overshadow, which leaves a natural result. God’s over-shadowing presence – which always brings His plan to pass (see 1012 /boulḗ, “God’s immutable will for physical circumstances”). To envelope in shadow. From a vaporous cloud that casts a shadow the word is transferred to a shining cloud surrounding and enveloping persons with brightness. The Holy Spirit exerting creative energy, a cloud as symbolizing the immediate presence and power of God. (Thayers Greek Lexicon)
