There Are Spiritual Roosters Among Us!
There are ‘Roosters’ among us — but there is an Invitation to Go Higher — and Soar like an Eagle!
Recently I received a profound Prophetic Word from a remarkable Woman of God who had no in-depth knowledge of me or even the ministry to which we are called to build.
I am always deeply humbled when God chooses to speak so unexpectedly, and with accuracy a timely Word that resonates with the hour.
I feel compelled to share parts of this Prophetic Word, as I believe it holds prophetic significance and will inevitably speak to many other New Wineskin Ministries that are beginning to emerge.
So, the Prophetic Word, I received, spoke of The LORD using different aspects of our Ministry to nurture and raise up others, which was represented by “baby chicks”.
The Roosters
However, God revealed in the Vision that there were large Roosters strategically targeting these baby chicks.
These Roosters were seen to be relentlessly pecking at the chicks, with the sole intent of scattering the chicks, and ultimately causing the Ministry to fail.
The LORD then cautioned, that these Roosters represented those sent to the Ministry to sow disunity and division, individuals who would use gossip, lies and slander to both undermine and bring disrepute to the Work of The LORD.
Wall Rebuilders
Now, as I listened and weighed the Prophetic Word of The LORD, The Holy Spirit suddenly brought to mind the Prophet Nehemiah and his call to “Rebuild the Broken-down Walls“.
When news of the [Jerusalem] Wall’s reconstruction reached the people, adversaries like Sanballat and Tobiah rose up and were assigned to discourage the builders, creating division and chaos in the Rebuilding of the Wall. (Nehemiah 4:1-23)
The LORD then spoke so clearly to my heart, showing me that while this Word spoke into my own situation, it was also speaking to many in The Body of Christ in this Season, who have also been called to “the Rebuilding of the Walls.”
They too will also be faced with warring and contending against the same Spirits of Sanballat and Tobiah.
They too will confront the “Spiritual Roosters” assigned by Satan to scatter the builders and instigate chaos and division in the ranks.
What struck me about this particular Prophetic Word, was the symbolism of the Roosters.
Now, as I prayed through the Word, the Spirit of Revelation reminded me that it was a Rooster that crowed three times when Peter denied Jesus. (Matthew 26:34, Luke 22:34, John 13:38)
The LORD revealed that we are in a Building and Establishing Season, when many Judas’ will arise among us, to betray us, and even deny their connection to us when the time of testing of their own hearts arises.
These Roosters in the Vision, symbolize not only those who aim to create division, but also the pervasive spirit of betrayal, fear, control and manipulation that is present in this hour, that seeks to create great disorder and destruction in this Rebuilding Season.
The LORD also spoke to my heart again concerning the Roosters, and He showed me that the Rooster — while similar to the Eagle in that they often operate solo, but unlike the Eagle their wings are cut — making them spiritually grounded, impotent and lacking in clarity.
Also, they often find themselves clucking around in confusion, and pecking at the ground for scraps of understanding, rather than soaring high with vision and true purpose.
Spiritual Roosters
These “Spiritual Roosters”, struggle to maintain a sense of true Kingdom Identity and Direction, and often can become trapped in cycles of noise, without much substance.
They choose to focus on the trivial, rather than that which is powerful and transformative for Kingdom Advancement.
The lack of clarity of these Spiritual Roosters can lead to a false bravado and a sense of entitlement, as they strut around, puffing up their chests to present an image of confidence, while inwardly battling with unresolved trauma and Church hurt.
Whereas, the Eagle has eyes to see the bigger Vision from the place of Ascension and Purity, the Rooster’s spiritual perspective is limited, leaving them vulnerable to the distractions and dangers that hide in the shadows.
The LORD reminded me however, that “there will always be Spiritual Roosters among us,” and that instead of being used to announce a New Day and a New Dawn, God’s intended purpose is often unfulfilled, because it has lost sight of its own true Kingdom Identity and Destiny.
But Friends, there must come a time when these Spiritual Roosters need to recognize and receive Revelation — when it is time to ascend “beyond the noise of the barnyard,” — and they begin to seek out new heights and embrace the clarity that can only come from a deeper relationship with The Creator.
Today, as I share and personally reflect on these powerful Truths, I am made to understood that the call for the Spiritual Roosters is not one of condemnation and accusation!
No! But rather one of Invitation!
An Invitation from Heaven
An Invitation from Heaven — from the High and Holy Places — to shed the heavy weight that holds them down; to stretch out their Mighty Wings; and though they may feel clipped and even grounded; they need to seek God — in order to regain a sense of Divine Purpose and Prophetic Insight!
These spiritually grounded Roosters can learn to fly and find strength and greater purpose within The Body of Christ — but they must align with others who are soaring, and together, they can and will find new ways to rise above the chaos and Identity distortion that they have settled for.
My prayer is that these Spiritual Roosters truly begin to seek for God’s Wisdom and Grace; that they incline their ears to His Voice that Calls them to ”Come up here! Come up higher!!” and that they will listen diligently for the Voice of The LORD, that promises to provide all they need to Ascend the High Places, from where they can “Catch the Wind of the Spirit under their Wings!”
And my prayer is that for every Rooster who finds themselves lost among the clucks of the barnyard, there lies the Invitation for Rebirth — a chance to be dynamically Changed and Renewed — and to truly embrace their true Kingdom Identity and purpose as courageous Eagle Seekers of Truth and Life — and who, having once been grounded with their wings clipped, can now learn to Soar on the Wings of Eagles.

I was born as a baby eagle in the mid 1990’s.I saw myself in a vision, break out of an egg. HOWEVER, I have been feeling like a chicken. Not a Rooster at all. Rooster’s, are too bold in their pecking order,speaking their opinions, in other words. I never fit in with others no matter where I go. My opinion is always despised. I am rejected, always especially by my family members. People love and enjoy shutting me down.
