We Need Both Preaching and Teaching of The Word of God
Good morning.
We must bring the Good News of Jesus Christ everywhere we go.
Lets proclaim it and shout it from the rooftops!
Even whisper the good news in the stillness.
The Word of God needs to be both taught and preached.
Some like the teaching. Some just want the preaching today.
I’m here to emphatically say, we need it both!
The Word must be taught and preached — but that is missing a key ingredient.
I’m talking about a balance here being that key ingredient.
The Body of Christ needs to operate together as One!
I wish to put in here about the Five-fold, again. (All other scriptures at the very end.)
This is just an excerpt of a recent article I wrote:
“It is even a religious spirit which declares that the ‘Five Fold’ Ministry was done away with.”
That spirit is trying to stifle and shut down the Word and the flow of The Spirit.
We need one another in The Body of Christ.
Absolutely No, the Five Fold has not been done away with!
“And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ:” Ephesians 4:11-13
We are seeing much hatred and religious spirits operating today!
We must ‘Overcome‘ and here is the only way:”
“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.” Revelation 12:11
Here is the article in its entirety:
We must go where the Spirit of the Lord bids us!
Also we must stay where the Spirit of God bids us!
Let’s put our body parts together and let God only give the increase!
“I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.” 1 Corinthians 3:6
“How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!” Romans 10:14-15
“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.” 2 Timothy 4:3-4
“For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom: But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness; But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God. Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men. For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: That no flesh should glory in his presence. But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.” 1 Corinthians 1:18-31
God bless you all.
