WHO IS THE MAN OR WOMAN WHO WOULD TRULY HEAR THE SOUNDS OF THE WORLD?
“For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed. For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope” Romans 8:19-20.
“The drums are beating out a tune; the drums are beating out a song, says the Lord. The song is a song that is set in motion. For it weaves together a song from many voices. It sings a song of the hills and of ancient times. It sings a song of wars upon the earth. It sings a song of travail and misery. It sings a song of conquering and of a triumphing spirit. For this is the song that has played out time after time with my people.
For you sang a song when you went into battle with the Philistines. Joshua sang a song when he brought the people into battle against them. And David danced before the people; he danced unashamedly before them.
There have been songs sang all throughout history. There was a song sang from you oh people of America. It was a song sang during the revolution of your country. There was a song sang during World War II. But now what is the song that can be heard? For the land awaits a new song to be sung. But now there are the tattered images of the innocent ones who have been scarred and left by the wayside. There is the sound of sirens playing. There is the sound of hungry children. There is the sound of gunshots. There is the sound of a dirge playing. And yet, in the midst of all this, an organ is playing in many of your church services. It plays a beautiful melody. And yet that sound ignores the voices outside your building. It sings praises to Me; it tells of my triumph and glory, but still, the songs pour out around you.
Who is the man or woman who would truly hear the sounds of the world? Who would know of the crying and weeping? Who would know of those who are held in captivity? What song would you sing to them?
The time is coming when the very earth would be singing. For it would be freed from its captivity. For it awaits the songs of glory. ”
