I see Warriors marching down a road, following their Captain, the LORD of Hosts.
As they move along this road of life, attacks start coming from the enemy. These attacks are vicious and relentless. They become weary and have taken their eyes off of their Commander.
Some have gathered together, one warrior from the group taking the lead. Slowly, this leader has veered off the road and now they are all in a deep ditch. Many are stuck in the miry clay and cannot move. Some are wandering around, injured, dazed and leaderless.
But, their Commander has seen the illegitimate authority that has seized His Warrior Bride. He is running to each one, picking them up, reviving them, healing their brokenness, and placing them upon His strong Shoulders. He has brought them out of the pit of destruction and placed their feet upon the Rock.
Soon, their strength is renewed and once again, they form into an exceedingly great army. He has made them MORE than conquerors through Him. His Love is stronger than any weapon formed against them.
Though none may go with them, still they have decided to follow Jesus. The LORD is their Light and Salvation, they fear no one. He is the defense of their life. He says to His Beloved Warrior Bride, “I AM your Maker, the Lord of Hosts is My name. You are My war club, My weapon of war.
With you I shall shatter the powers over the nations. With you I shall destroy the kingdoms of darkness.
It is finished. Follow Me, Beloved, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against you!”
“From that time many of His disciples went back, and walked no more with Him,” John 6:66.
“Come, follow Me,” Jesus said, “and I will make you fishers of men,” Matthew 4:19.
“For the Maker of all is He, And of the tribe of His inheritance; The LORD of hosts is His name. He says, “You are My war-club, My weapon of war; And with you I shatter nations, And with you I destroy kingdoms,” Jeremiah 51:19-20.
