You Have Embraced His Promises — 3 Comments

  1. With My Heart ❤️ wide open I receive Your Promises. All Your Love and all that is within You to give Me This Day. Thank You Father! I Praise Your Holy Name!

  2. There are two kinds of righteousness: 1. A righteousness from God through whom we are saved – a person and his name is Jesus: a/ Jer23:5-6:” The days are coming,” declares the LORD,” when I will raise up from David’s line a righteous Branch… This is the name by which he will be called: The LORD Our Righteousness. b/ Ro3:21-22:” But now A righteousness from God, apart from law, has been made known… through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe.” c/Ro9:30-32:” What then shall we say? That the Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, have obtained it, A righteousness that is by faith…”( more verses Phi3:9, Ro10:3-4, 1Co1:30,Ps22:31) and this is the righteousness that surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law mentioned in Mt5:20; 2. righteousness to those who obey the law – the doers and through our obedience we receive reward: a/ Dt6:25:” And if we are careful to obey all this law before the LORD our God, as he has commanded us, that will be our righteousness.” b/ Ro10:5:Moses describes in this way the righteousness that is by the law:” The man who does these things will live by them.” c/ Ps19:11:” By them is your servant warned, in keeping them there is great reward.”(more verses Isa48:18, Ro2:13, Heb12:11). At last let me encourage all even myself with Ps119:97-104:” Oh, how I love your law! I meditate on it all day long. Your commands made me wiser than my enemies, for they are ever with me. I have more insight than all my teachers, for I meditate on your statutes. I have more understanding than the elders, for I obey your precepts. I have kept my feet from every evil path so that I might obey your word. I have not departed from your laws, for you yourself have taught me. How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth! I gain understanding from your precepts; therefore I hate every wrong path.” Amen !
