A Corrective Word to the Leaders in Churches Today
Good morning.
Today it is on my heart to just give you some things to ponder about and pray over.
“Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.” Galatians 6:1.
How do you balance being quiet at times but speaking out at other times in the Churches?
Can’t we just shut our mouth at times, when it would do more harm than good?
What is wrong with many Christian leaders in some of our Churches today?
Also why, when it is appropriate and needed, don’t we open our mouths and expose the sin that is sometimes even in the pulpits?
Still when we expose the sin we need to make sure our own hands are clean and our hearts are pure before a Holy Father.
Never should we have any other motive or agenda, but righteousness sake!
Hope you will enjoy this song today.
We have to know how to handle matters and operate in a spirit of love in the Churches.
What is our measuring rod? Then the question is how do we apply it in approaching the matter?
Apostle Paul asked in the Corinthian Church?
“What will ye? shall I come unto you with a rod, or in love, and in the spirit of meekness?” 1 Corinthians 4:21.
Some matters need to be handled privately by leaders, but other things publicly.
( This goes out to individuals also that are Christians. )
I have seen a lot in my 72 years, believe me! Also myself, I have been came against, by a lot of religious spirits in the Churches.
You learn by The LORD’s Grace when seasoned as a Christian, to try to handle matters in a right manner and spirit.
Where any of us fail, repent and rise again, don’t stay down!
Mostly, today I will leave scriptures at the end.
Just know, it’s not that people shouldn’t judge and correct but to judge righteously after our own beam is out of our eye.
We should want others to be set free. We shouldn’t want to leave them in that shape!
God bless you all.
“Who shall ascend into the hill of The LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.” Psalm 24:3-4.
“And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.” Matthew 7:3-5.
“For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret. But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.” Ephesians 5:12-13.
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.” Galatians 5:22-26.
“Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah.” Psalm 4:4.

I believe this happens because the fear of God has grown dim for many leaders on the pulpit. Many have sat in God’s own throne dispensing judgment and curse upon the sheep out of self righteousness. This is filthy rag. Worst part of it is that they do all this in the name of Jesus. God is not mocked by their words
Mary AnneJ, thank you so much as you brought out the truth of ‘why’ this happens!
Your absolutely right, as we need the true fear of God back in leadership, even. God bless you. ❤️
Thank you Mwilliams for your thoughtful reply. I do believe many times, much harm has been done by Pastors or those in authority, bomblasting people from the pulpits with what should have been ‘private corrections.’
Let us be the true church, and not with a deceitful religious spirit.
On the other hand, sometimes the shepherds are carnal and causing the people to believe a lie. God forbid! Some Leaders live in sin, believing it’s ok to live together, cuss, drink, etc. Some think their sins are covered but Jesus sees all and will expose!
His beloved Body needs to be nurtured and fed undefiled meat. Also some need some good milk to grow on. My heart aches on this subject.
Too much fighting and bickering in the Body of Christ, also…
Let love prevail and let us all walk humbly with our God. Thank God their are still some good places of worship left! Some have been pulled out of mainline denominations and meet house to house. Wherever, we need to assemble and worship God in spirit and in truth. God bless you.
Thank you woman of God. Ps.51:10b clause…shows us, we can speak and do the Word w/the wrong spirit. As you shared scriptures for us…to live in the Spirit…abide. Paul might have wanted a rod as Corinth was extremely carnal. Even so, matters to handle by leaders, in my opinion should always be private…scripture does not support the alternative. WWJD – Some ppl have the ministry of misery. The Bible says let a man ‘examine’ himSelf….not everybody else. Let’s walk and live in the Spirit. It’s Better.
