There are so many of us whom The LORD has been using, who have gone through abuse at the hands of other Christians, elders, pastors that would cause us to ponder why they would treat others the way they do.
For those who say “get over it,” let’s begin to say “let’s look at the underlying cause or reasons of why you think this way.”
They most likely, in my own opinion, can’t, or don’t want to deal with what The Holy Spirit wants to do with them.
The adversary is the one who divides, and blinds people from the reality of their actions, and actively prevents people from being who they are called to be.
Therefore the rest of us have to be vigilant to not be offended by them, thus stopping us from being all that The LORD has called us to be.
John the Baptist, when he was in prison, sent one to Jesus with the question, “Are You the coming One, or do we look for another?”
Jesus said: “Go tell John that the deaf hear, the blind see, the lame walk and the dead are raised. Blessed is He who is not offended in Me.” (Luke 7:20-23)
