Come and Drink First
Come and Drink First,
Not From What Others Have Already Drunk!
“Jesus answered and said to her, “Everyone who drinks of this water will thirst again; but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life,” John 4;13-14.
Jesus tells us that ALL can come to the water and drink from the well. We don’t need to lean unto what others have drunk and tasted. For then the water can become “second-hand,” and it may not be as pure as what we would “first taste.”
Allow the Holy Spirit to teach you, and don’t always lean unto the teachings of other men, no matter how great their wisdom and insights may be. He alone can be your teacher. He alone can feed you, and refresh you from the waters of His throne.
Those waters will “bubble-up” not only unto eternal life, but the revelation and truth that you find in it, will sustain you for your present situation, and for the days ahead.
God would say,
“Come right to the fountain from what you would drink, and not from what others have already drunk.”
God has set-up apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers and evangelists in the church, but we ALL can be taught by the Holy Spirit. He alone can teach us things that no man could ever say.
He is within us, and when His anointing resides there, the wisdom, the truth, and the revelation, far surpasses what any other man could speak.
“But the anointing which ye have received from Him abideth in you, and ye have no need that any man teach you. But as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in Him,” 1 John 2:27.
So, come to those waters. Drink deeply of it, and allow it to fill your deepest needs. Allow Him alone to teach you, and to speak to you in your innermost places.
“Therefore you will joyously draw water From the springs of salvation,” Isaiah 12:3.
