Have We Become Too Familiar With The Most High?
Have we become too familiar with The Most High? Have we taken Grace for granted?
Reading through The Book of Leviticus will sober you quickly!
It confronts the modern casual spirit that has crept into much of what is called Christianity.
Today many approach God “any kind of way” not understanding that The Holy One we speak to is not common.
He is merciful, yes. He is loving, yes. But He is also Holy, and The Blood that gave us access — was not cheap!
Sometimes I believe it is both: familiarity and lack of understanding.
Some have not been taught The Fear of The LORD.
They know God as Provider, Healer, Deliverer, Friend — but not enough as The Holy One of Israel, The Consuming Fire, The Righteous Judge!
Others have heard truth, and yet still grown overly casual, treating grace as though it gives permission to live loosely, speak carelessly, and remain unchanged.
But Grace was never given to make sin feel lighter!
Grace was given to reveal how costly our redemption truly was.
Under the Levitical Order, sin, trespass, uncleanness, peace, gratitude, worship everything had weight — bulls, goats, lambs, turtledoves, fine flour, blood, priests, altars, washings, fire.
Nothing about approaching God was casual!
The system itself testified that sin costs, cleansing costs, atonement costs, and A Holy God must be approached on His Terms!
So when people say, “Thank God for Jesus,” that should not be shallow language. That should produce trembling gratitude.
Because, if righteousness still depended on us bringing offerings continually, who among us could stand?
Who could afford it? Who could keep up with the weight of constant sacrifice?
Yet the greater question is not only financial — it is spiritual!
Who could bear that burden fully?
Who could truly satisfy divine justice?
No bull or goat could finally take away sin. They pointed forward. They testified. They foreshadowed.
But Yeshua fulfilled!
“For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.” Hebrews 10:4.
And yet now, because many no longer see the cost, they treat grace lightly.
They want:
- Intimacy without Reverence.
- Access without Surrender.
- Worship without Consecration.
- Favor without Holiness.
They say “God knows my heart….” while refusing to let Him search it!
They say “I’m under Grace….” while excusing, what Grace was sent to transform.
But Scripture says,
“Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid.” Romans 6:1-2.
True Grace does not make a person lawless.
True Grace teaches.
It trains. It corrects. It leads us to deny ungodliness and worldly lusts and to live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present world (Titus 2:11-12).
So yes, I do believe many have taken Grace for granted as a people. Not all, but many.
And I believe The Spirit of The LORD is calling us back to reverence, to holy gratitude, and to The fear of The LORD.
Not terror-based religion. Not legalism. But awe. Wonder. Clean hands. A guarded heart. A life that remembers what The Blood cost.
The Veil was torn, but it was torn by Sacrifice.
Access was opened, but it was opened by Blood.
That should not make us more casual.
That should make us more BROKEN, MORE GRATEFUL, and MORE CAREFUL in how we walk before THE MOST HIGH.
Grace is not God lowering His Standard.
Grace is God meeting us through The Blood of His Son and then calling us higher.
So no, we should not approach Him any kind of way.
And yes, we must thank God for Jesus Christ, The Lamb, The Offering, The High Priest, and The Way.
May The Fear of The LORD return to His House.
May Grace no longer be used as a cloak for carnality.
May the people of God remember again that He is merciful, but never common.
Shalom

Wow, this message is so powerful, it stirs up my spirit to the level that now I know Him than before, HalleluYAH to the KING OF GLORY!
What an awesome but sobering word! I fully embrace and receive this precious word of correction, exhortation, and encouragement.
Search my heart, O God, and let the Fire of Your Spirit burn all the wood, hay, and stubble in my soul; let Your Word cleanse and purify the deep recesses of my heart. Break my heart, Dear Potter, and mold and shape me into a vessel of gold meet for You, my Adonai, to be used in the service of my LORD and King. Amen.
Blessings to you, dear sister Thomas, and to this wonderful community of God lovers. ❤️️
