New Assignments and Positions for the Next Season — 6 Comments

  1. I got here from The call of the bride site. It seems a lot of people posting there believe in a very close rapture (maybe this year?) But from your blog I have the impression it’s not the case as you seem to be writing for a longer time period? E.g. earlier the message for the new year, or now this about the new generation. I am confused about how the belief and prophethic words from some people about a close rapture can be reconciled with other prophecies that speak for a longer timeline (months or years from now)? They can’t all be right? :(

    • Dear Luz,
      Thank you for your comment.
We do not believe in a pre-tribulation rapture and see it as a lie of Satan so that the Christians will not fight him when the tribulation comes.
This view is based on experience.  In the past, the Churches of China and Japan were wiped out because they were not taught to stand against persecution.  The Japanese Church has never recovered.  The Church in China is now growing massively: and the more they are persecuted – the more they grow, because recently, the underground Church leaders started to teach about resisting and suffering under persecution.  They are prepared to become martyrs if necessary.
If the rapture comes tomorrow, good and well.  But if it does not come before the start of the tribulation, then I believe that most American Christians are likely to cave in and abandon Christ Jesus, for as 2 Thessalonians says, “Let not anyone deceive you by any means. For that Day shall not come unless there first comes a falling away, and the man of sin shall be revealed, the son of perdition.”
We would rather teach Christians how to deal with the coming tribulation, than leave them ignorant of it, as Satan wants.  Sadly practically all Pastors, when asked, “What are you doing to prepare your congregation for the coming tribulation?,” will reply, “NOTHING!”
If you want to read more on the pre-post tribulation rapture question, please see our article “Why it is NOT a Pre-Tribulation Rapture Verse…” by Prophet Ken Dewey.
I pray this help you and you will prepare for the tribulation, trusting in the Lord.

      Blessings in Christ,
      Angus

      • Thank you for the reply. Pre-trib is what I have always been the most familiar with and read about, so it’s difficult to change the view but I’m open to other possibilites.
In that case I’m finding it surprising that the site shares your posts on their page as their position definitely looks like pre trib (plus some other strange stuff added that is different from pretty much every Christian debomination’s view on the end times). I suppose I am reluctant because pre trib is the only view that gives us hope of a soon escape (besides death) and living in the world is becoming more and more difficult with social, moral and economical issues etc.

      • Dear Luz,
Thank you for your reply.  Yes, it is hard to challenge or change our long held beliefs.
Remember the WWII Holocaust?  The Lord did not save His chosen people out of it, but used it to give them a homeland again, which otherwise they probably could not have obtained.  If The Lord would not save the Jews from their tribulation, why would He save us from ours?
Sadly, most Christians take the ritual dogma of their churches without a thought and do not test it, or explore it themselves, with God given common sense.  Asking: Is that really what the Bible says and means….? (I was like that too.)
I do not want to use scripture to prove any point here, but prayer the Holy Spirit will do that for you, when you ask.  That said, in 1 Thessalonians 4:15 we read “… we who are alive and remain…” and is repeated two lines later in 4:17, “Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air….” This unique phrase occurs only here and I understand it to mean, after tribulation.  Why else would “being alive,” be such an important condition, worthy of such note?
On the question of Rapture – please do have a read of Pastor Brian Hay’s interesting articles Rapture or No Rapture YOU Decide.”
I pray Luz that as you diligently seek the Lord, He will reveal these truths to you (Matthew 6:33).  But in all things, remember to TRUST IN THE LORD and lean not on your own understanding :)

        Blessings in Christ,
        Angus
