During an earlier prayer time, I heard Him say. “The key is, that He – is risen,” so “Lift up, to overthrow that, which seeks to overthrow.”
It became a command as well as a demand as He added, “…to separate the United Kingdom to His Self,” “like you (Lord) separated Israel from Egypt for yourself” and then to “separate for Him, against him”.
The “him” with the small “h” are those collective in opposition to God’s purpose and will regarding the United Kingdom and Brexit. Including “him” the spiritual force(s) in operation through men.
I then heard, “I will pull the rug out from under them, ” and I saw Him, placing His own hands at the end of the rug and, literally and physically, pull this big rug, a carpet, out from under the feet, of a number of men.
That caused the carpet/rug to disappear and each and every one of them landing flat on their back. Or in a heap on the now, uncovered floor, as their legs gave way underneath them, due to The LORD’s action.
I knew this aligned with the political/ spiritual situation we all now face. I felt this to be so for the European Union side, even for some of our own.
As the men on the carpet were standing facing eastwards. I felt that was significant. It’s about which way your facing and who you are walking towards.
The tabernacle and temple both faced east. To enter, you walked westwards, towards it.
When Cain was exiled … he was sent eastwards, to and towards the east
When the people began to build the Tower of Babel, they travelled eastwards to do so.
Christ will come from the east.
Look To The East: What do directions mean in the Bible? (See reference article.)
But this particular set of pictures, words and scriptures had not previously been brought to light in this way, until … this was a new day, mid afternoon of Wednesday 10th April. But before the evening of Theresa May’ second extension request to the European Union.
In Exodus 13:21-22, The LORD was going before them in a pillar of cloud by day to lead (guide) them on the way, and in a pillar of fire by night to give them light, that they might travel by day and by night. He did not take away the pillar of cloud by day, nor the pillar of fire by night, from before them… until …
But then — The LORD tells them to do an unusually strange and unexpected thing (Exodus 14:1-2).
Now The LORD spoke to Moses, saying, “Tell the sons of Israel to turn back and camp before Pi-hahiroth, between Migdol and the sea; you shall camp in front of Baal-zephon, opposite it, by the sea.”
This moved them in the opposite direction they were currently headed, which was away from the Egyptians. But now He told them to move back towards the perusing Egyptians. Towards danger and away from apparent safety.
Exodus 14:3 shows this was intentionally leading the pursuing Pharaoh to believe Israel had lost their way and were becoming boxed in.
“For Pharaoh will say of the sons of Israel, ‘They are wandering aimlessly in the land; the wilderness has shut them,” Exodus 14:3.
As a result of this, in Exodus 14, “Then the Egyptians chased after them with all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, his horsemen and his army, and they overtook them camping by the sea, beside Pi-hahiroth, in front of Baal-zephon.”
Baal Zephon is seen in Exodus 14:2; 9 and Numbers 33:7.
In front of, meant that Baal Zephon overshadowed their path en route to the other side
God’s purpose — Exodus 14 :4 — “Thus I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and he will chase after them; and I will be honoured through Pharaoh and all his army, and the Egyptians will know that I AM The LORD.” And they did so.
Exodus 14:8 – The LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh, king of Egypt … Note: King & v5… The root meaning of this word king – is to ascend to the throne and to induct into royalty and to take counsel.
Baal Zephon is also “king” … is also thought to be known as The LORD of the North. With a secondary title as Lord of Darkness or Place of Typhon who could control the disruptive forces of hurricanes, tornadoes, and some aspects of the sea. Typhon was aTitan God of Storm and of War.
The Rabbinical Literature itemised in the Jewish Encyclopedia, record Pharaoh saying of this event, partly due to this idol being unharmed and the high prominence in the echelon of Egypt’s gods, “This idol is indeed mighty, and the God of Israel is powerless over him,” which emboldened Pharaoh in the chase.
So… Exodus 14:13-14, “But Moses said to the people, “Do not fear! Stand by and see the salvation of The LORD which He will accomplish for you today; for the Egyptians whom you have seen today, you will never see them again forever. The LORD will fight for you while you keep silent.” Stop complaining and trust! (My emphasis and addition)
Exodus 14:21-22, “Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and The LORD swept the sea back by a strong east wind all night and turned the sea into dry land, so the waters were divided. The sons of Israel went through the midst of the sea on the dry land, and the waters were like a wall to them on their right hand and on their left.”
The Word says “the waters congealed,” as with blood.
Exodus 15:8, “At the blast of Your nostrils the waters were piled up, the flowing waters stood up like a heap. The deeps were congealed in the heart of the sea.”
Congealed speaks to me of … congealed like blood, congealed or heaped up. Solidify.
The dividing, the separating — Providing the separation between Israel and Egypt. He had promised earlier and the congealed (like) blood of the standing walls of the water to the right and to the left were testimony of the blood … it stood, and did not fall in on Israel as they passed through. Apply.
The last judgement was on Egypt’s firstborn. Directly before leaving Egypt and after Egypt’s last judgement. Israel applied the blood externally, to their doorposts and internally, inside ate the flesh of the same lamb.
Out of Egypt, God called (calls) His son. Israel, as are we, are designated and called His firstborn, (1 Corinthians 10:2; Romans 6:3; Galatians 3:27.)
God Directs them to turn back … a strange and unexpected manoeuvre !…….directly opposite where they now were was Baal Zephon …. Overshadowing their path.
He had chosen this place, organised and arranged it. He had chosen the target ….Zephon. Baal Zephon. He does so today.
The previous 10 judgements had all been against specific Egyptian gods and even those god’s altars had been destroyed. The site of the God at Baal Zephon was the only one that had not (yet) been touched. The other 10 plagues had dealt with men and animals but had also destroyed their idols.
Zephon was thought to have Supreme rule over the sea … Pharaoh, in untouched Zephon, thought he would have the trump card … v8 and went out after the children of Israel with a high hand (to exalt, to magnify, to set on high, Egypt’s god.)
But V24 god caused confusion …and brought the army of the Egyptians into confusion
We know the Egyptians followed Israel into the Red Sea and as the Israelites gained access the other side, the waters were brought back upon the hosts of Pharaoh.
Where did the Israelites cross to, where did they reach to on the other side of the Red Sea, the sea of reeds.
The answer is Exodus 14:29, in front of Baal-zephon which is also recounted in Exodus 14:1 in front of Baal-zephon and in this account recorded in Numbers 33:7.
Baal Zephon, is two words.
Baal, means to exercise dominion. In its masculine form, means to own, owner. Hence the sense of Lord. In the proverbial sense it means “lord of the snort” someone who gets easily angered. Which reflects the understanding Baal is seen as the storm god, in fact the god of the sea … which Israel were currently seeking to flee through.
The feminine form, is known as the mistress of the witchcrafts.
Zephon is translated in two main senses … describes … vigilant watch keeping, look out post or watch tower.
Zephon also means “to lay out” like items overlaid. As with wood or bronze or precious stones. As in the plating of a pillar.
The verbs derivative’ in the masculine noun refers to plating … but
The verbs derivative in the feminine noun refers to a RUG or CARPET.
Boom … this began with hearing The LORD saying …
I then heard, “I will pull the rug out from under them!”
So the keen sense is God is seeking to and has chosen, at this time, in this place, to make a vital and strong point… I will pull out the rug from under his men and under their god.
As we pray, He displays
At certain junctures, certain things happen.
The previous 10 judgements had all been against specific Egyptian gods and even those god’s altars had been destroyed.
The site of the God at Baal Zephon was the only one that had not (yet) been touched. The other 10 plagues had dealt with men and animals but had also destroyed their idols.
So Baal Zephon seems to be considered amongst or even as the strongest Canaanite god. So one is tempted say … that Father God kept, and is keeping the best till last, and to demonstrate the His might and supremacy in wisdom … to the rulers of wickedness in heavenly places.
May it be so Father God in Jesus mighty name.
“‘Why do the nations rage and the peoples plot in vain? The kings of the earth take their stand and the rulers gather together against The LORD and against His Anointed One.’ (Psalm 2:1-2)
In fact, in this very city Herod and Pontius Pilate conspired with the Gentiles and the people of Israel against Your holy servant Jesus, whom You anointed. They carried out what Your hand and will had decided beforehand would happen. And now, Lord, consider their threats, and enable Your servants to speak Your word with complete boldness, as You stretch out Your hand to heal and perform signs and wonders through the name of Your holy servant Jesus.”
After they had prayed, their meeting place was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly,” Acts 4:25b-31.
