The Gift of Choice
“Now therefore, fear the Lord, serve Him in sincerity and in truth, and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the River and in Egypt. Serve the Lord! And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” Joshua 24:14-15, NKJV (emphasis added).
My child, the choice is yours. Who will you follow? Who is your lord? In the Holy Writ I asked this question to the sons of men. Even though I separated Israel to Myself to provide the bloodline of My Son, Messiah, I still asked them to choose who they would follow.
It is no different today. Every man, woman, and child is given the freedom of choice. This ability of choice carries great responsibility. The choice is a personal decision. Although others maybe in prayer for you to make the correct choice, they cannot choose for you. The taskmaster comes with his lies to tell you repentance is denied to you because of your past. But repentance, when it truly comes from a whole-hearted desire to turn away from sin, is an expression of this gift of choice
The liar tells those who have been caught in his web that repentance is not available to them because they have given their gift of choice to him. But he is a liar; the gift of choice is never withdrawn from the lost ones as long as they draw a breath of life.
This is why the evil one has to work so hard to keep up his deceiving tactics so as not to lose control over his minions. He sets up the gates of hell to contain the deluded ones. But the true Church will not be thwarted by these gates. The truth of the Word of God will destroy that which hinders the lost ones and the light of His glory will dispel the darkness in their minds. When they receive the revelation of their desperate need for a Savior, Who is so willing to welcome them to Himself, they will exercise their gift of choice and commit themselves whole-heartedly to Christ.
In these days of mercy and grace, the call to repent and to choose life in Christ Jesus is resounding through the nations. I will even use the despicable acts of the evil one to drive the lost ones to Me as they awaken to the desperateness of their situation.
Come one, come all. Choose life. It is not too late to turn from the path of the destroyer and to follow the path of truth and life in Christ. The way is narrow, but you never travel alone when you have chosen Him, the King of Glory, as your Lord.
I tell you this day that the fields of the earth are ripening quickly. My harvesters are being fully equipped and their assignments are being given. They will pour out My cups of conviction upon the souls of men and then they will bring the good news that the choice of repentance is only a breath away. There will be much rejoicing as the gates of hell crumble at the sound of true repentant hearts dedicating themselves to their Lord and Christ.
Prepare yourselves for the work ahead. Harvesting comes upon you now in earnest. Do not turn to the left or to the right. Keep your eyes on Me and you will see great and mighty things in the days ahead. Be glad and receive My love and grace which I pour out upon My harvesters this day. Shalom.
“Let your eyes look right on [with fixed purpose], and let your gaze be straight before you. Consider well the path of your feet, and let all your ways be established and ordered aright. Turn not aside to the right hand or to the left; remove your foot from evil” Proverbs 4:25-27, AMP.
