I heard, “Touch not a hair of My Anointed Ones!”
Jesus was proclaiming this to the devil and his demons. The Old Testament contains the phrase, “Touch not My Anointed and do My Prophets no harm.” (Psalm 105:15)
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever! He is proclaiming this over you, Warrior of God!
Why was hair mentioned in this phrase to me today, I wondered. So I researched and asked our Father for wisdom on this.
Hair is mentioned as the seat of the strength of Samson. God has numbered every hair on your head. What God can number, He can also protect, so that not even a hair of the head might “fall to the earth” or “perish.”
We have heard that hair is a woman’s crowning glory, but wait, even more than that, in Proverbs it says that wisdom and understanding are a “Crowning Glory” to anyone, both man and woman, sons and daughters, who seek God’s Wisdom and Understanding.
And good news! ALL the Treasures of Wisdom and Knowledge are found in Jesus!
So when God says, “Touch not a HAIR of My Anointed One,” He is not meaning your physical hair, (whether you have some or none 😉 ) but He is proclaiming that the devil MAY NOT touch HIS GLORY upon you! Hallelujah!
The mighty angels protect God’s Glory and His Glory is upon you, His Sons and Daughters!
“Beloved. Arise and shine, for My Glory is upon you. Adam and Eve were covered in My Glory in the Garden.
This Garment of Glory has been restored once again to ALL who are born again in Jesus Christ. My Glory is your Covering, My Child. I AM declaring over you that no one may touch My Glory upon you.
You are My Anointed One. My Wisdom and Understanding dwell in the Holy Spirit within you.
You GLOW from the inside out. The enemy cannot harm the Glory upon My Anointed Ones or do My Prophets any harm.
The Realms of the Spirit are for you alone. No evil may come here.
I have given My Mighty Angels charge over you to keep you in all your ways. They protect My Glory and My Glorious Ones. They hold you up in their hands so that no harm comes to you.
Rejoice, My Child! You alone of all the creatures in heaven or earth are Crowned with My Glory!
My Glory upon you will promote you and protect you. The Spirit will bring you honor when you embrace your Lord and Savior.
For I have placed upon your head an Ornament of Grace; A CROWN OF GLORY I have delivered to you.
Rejoice, Beloved, You are a CROWN OF GLORY in the Hand of the LORD, a royal diadem in the palm of your God!”
“The cherubim are a group of ANGELS recognized in both Judaism and Christianity. Cherubim guard God’s Glory both on Earth and by His throne in heaven.”
CROWNING GLORY : The outstanding feature (on someone’s head or on top of something)
HAIR: God has numbered the very hairs of the head (Matthew 10:30; Luke 12:7), which to human beings conveys the idea of the innumerableness (Psalm 40:12; 69:4). What God can number, He can also protect, so that not even a hair of the head might “fall to the earth” or “perish.” These phrases express complete safety (1 Samuel 14:45; 2 Samuel 14:11; 1 Kings 1:52; Luke 21:18; Acts 27:34). HAIR was the seat of the strength of a Samson (Judges 16:17,20).
DO NOT TOUCH : Strong’s Hebrew 5060: to touch, reach, strike; to be stricken, be defeated; to be stricken (by disease)
MY ANOINTED ONES : Strong’s Hebrew 4899: anointed one of the Messiah
DO NO HARM : Strong’s Hebrew 7489: to be bad, be evil, to be injurious, to do an injury or hurt, to break, shatter, to be broken, be broken in pieces, be broken asunder
TO MY PROPHETS : Strong’s Hebrew 5030: spokesman, speaker, prophet in ecstatic state
“He let no man oppress them; He rebuked kings on their behalf: Saying, “Touch not My Anointed, and do My prophets no harm.” 1 Chronicles 16:21-22
“Saying, “Do not touch My anointed ones, And do My prophets no harm.” Psalm 105:15
“But not a hair of your head will perish.” Luke 12:18
“Get wisdom! Get understanding! Do not forget, nor turn away from the words of my mouth. 6Do not forsake her, and she will preserve you; Love her, and she will keep you.
Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding. Exalt her, and she will promote you; she will bring you honor, when you embrace her. She will place on your head an ornament of grace; a CROWN OF GLORY she will deliver to you.” Proverbs 4:5-9
“You will be a CROWN OF GLORY in the hand of the LORD, a royal diadem in the palm of your God.” Isaiah 62:3
“That they may be encouraged in heart, knit together in love, and filled with the full riches of complete understanding, so that they may know the mystery of God, namely Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. I say this so that no one will deceive you by smooth rhetoric.” Colossians 2:2-4
