A Book Of Tears — 9 Comments

  1. This is beautiful. Jesus himself interceded with loud sighs and groans. He is a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. Paul also shed much tears over the church in his ministry. The older generations knew about these truths and this ministry. It has been much neglected in recent times. One time as I was weeping over a situation, a mature believer went to admonish me, but ended up saying it was a burden from the Lord. More recently, younger believers have said that it couldn’t be God, as ‘God wouldn’t do that’.

    • This is true. Being the older generation does bring with it, responsibility. Am growing in interceding. It is an area we never arrive in. Smile. My Dad used to say, “tears are a language God understands”. Today it is sixteen years since he went home to be with Jesus. Thanks for sharing.

    • Yes, Jesus was the perfect intercessor. Am part of that older generation.  Still growing in intercession and always learning. smile.  Appreciate your sharing.

    • Hi Priscilla. I remember you back in the days of posting your prophetic words on Lit4ever.  Yes, the enemy tries to make people thing tears are weak.  My dad who went to be with Jesus, sixteen years ago today, used to say, “tears are a language God understands.  Blessings to you too dear sister.

  2. Thank you for sharing Patricia, it is so needed that we intercede wholeheartedly, weeping over the things revealed to us. Ezekiel 9:4 And Jehovah said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry over all the abominations that are done in the midst thereof.

    • Ursula, I am still learning the wholeheartedly part in intercession.  He chooses His imperfect vessels and His adequacy makes up for my lack. Still learning to lean heavily on Jesus for without His pouring through me, I can do nothing.  Thanks for sharing.
