Many are just plain blind…..
Their blindness is caused by a force outside them that carefully walks them, day by day, into darkness of no true sight.
The things they actually see are only what the force behind their blindness wants them to see!
Who is blind — but the man who cannot see Jesus Christ. He just simply cannot focus upon Him and the awful fact is, He cannot see The Cross.
Many think they see The Cross of Jesus, and they even see Him hanging there…… but what they do not see is: What Jesus did for them upon The Cross. The old devil does really work hard to keep people from seeing the work of Jesus for sinners.
If he can just keep them in the dark and cause them to think that they can work good enough to be saved, or be good enough to make it inside the Gate of Heaven…. then …. they have never seen The Cross of Jesus, nor have they seen the work Jesus did for the sinner.
What blind people do not see is this:
- Salvation is made totally available to sinners simply by believing that Jesus is their LORD and that He did die for their sins.
- Salvation is free.
- Salvation is by Grace [unmerited favor for that which they could never do themselves].
God gives grace and accepts the sinner by his blood, and has already forgiven the sinner for all his sins.
As long as any man thinks that he can work or be good enough to be saved… He is blind!
“But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: in whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.” 2 Corinthians 4:3.
Again see these Bible verses:
“Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.
For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.
For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.
For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.
For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them.
But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:)
Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)
But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10:1-13.
Are you sure your not blind?
