Discerning the voice of God

AFTER A CONVERSATION WITH A ZEALOT, NOT HAVING LEARNT HOW TO DISCERN GOD’S VOICE PROPHET

Being able to discern and hear accurately is very vital to those that walk as a Prophet or those that God uses to give a prophecy.

Having the spiritual ability to know if what we are hearing is from God, our own soul, information we heard or assumption because of what we know about a person is important so that we are not made to look as if we can’t discern the voice of God thereby being regarded as a lying or false Prophet by those we come in contact with.

It’s important that a Prophet guard their ear-gate and that they are disciplined enough to be able to not let nothing they have heard or knowledge they know influence them when giving a word from The Lord to someone.

As someone seasoned in walking as a Prophet, I have trained my spiritual ear to hear and know the voice of God and to know when the spirit talking through a person is from God or another source.

The Spirit of The Lord within you will automatically reject any other spirit that tries to manifest itself as God.  That’s why it’s important for those that God uses as a mouthpiece to have a lifestyle of prayer fasting consecration and righteousness and studying of the word of God.

These things are not options but are mandatory in order for a Prophet to remain in a position to hear and know God and His voice.  Without discipline and humility and living an obedient lifestyle many will be easily brought into fleshly and carnal error when giving a word from The Lord!

My heart was heavy after talking to them, because even though I corrected and rebuked them for their error, they yet remain puffed up in pride and refuse to listen, because they said someone told them they were a Prophet and people are jealous of them and it was their season to go forth.

I’m sadden, because this is causing a lot of people to walk in error because man can’t make you a Prophet.

They can pour fifty gallons of oil on you and prophesy for fifty days that you are a Prophet but if God didn’t establish you to be one in the merging of the egg and sperm of your mother and father then you will never be one.  These immature, unlearned, untrained by The Lord persons, loosing people into titles for which they are not chosen appointed or anointed by The Lord.

Many lives have been messed up by someone listening to the words of someone who thought they were hearing God, but were hearing voices that were from other sources.

People of God, you can refuse to accept a word that is not of God, when you know that what the person is saying is untrue, or from a demonic source.  Receiving a word that is not from God is dangerous, because you open a portal that brings oppression from the enemy and a curse upon your life.

When someone is saying they are giving you a word from The Lord, remain spiritual alert because, what they are saying may be true but discern what spirit is in operation when they give it!

Discerning the voice of God — 3 Comments

  1. Wow! I am so inspired and touched by this message. I agree with you woman of God, there are so many false prophets who are messing our lives pretending us. I was reading your article this morning which you have delivered few weeks that we should not allow people to lay hands on us, we should be sensitive in spirit and not accept everything that has spoken to us! Oh! As if you know here in South Africa some they come from abroad performing false miracles. We should be vigilant at all times. Once again thank you so much for the word of encouragement. God bless you!

  2. Thank you! I needed to hear the words spoken today, because of my own questioning of the validity of “becoming” a prophet.
