Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him — and a threefold cord is not quickly broken. (Ecclesiastes 4: 10).
The adversary, the devil as a roaring lion, looks for whom he may devour. He tries to single a person out who”s walk with The LORD may have been weakened.
An intercessor can come along side and stand in the gap for that person, and, led by The Spirit pray for the person who is weak in his faith, to hold the person’s arms up in The Spirit and resist the enemy of his soul.
The person being interceded for, the intercessor and The Holy Spirit when all are in agreement, are a “three strong cord” against the enemy.
A husband and wife, in union together with The Holy Spirit, are a ‘three strong cord’ that is not easily broken.
My wife and I have been married for 43 years. We both came to The LORD before we met. He has been our shield and exceedingly great reward since the day we met.
We are a “three strong cord” that is not easily broken.
When an enemy combatant charges against one of your fellow soldiers who is alone, the soldier’s comrades come to strike down the enemy because they are a unified unit covering each other’s backs.
The day you were saved, you were brought to the point of recognizing Who Jesus really is because the Holy Spirit was testifying to you about your need for your Savior.
Jesus said that, “it is the Father’s good pleasure to give to you the Kingdom.”
You believed because the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, the ultimate ‘three strong cord,’ rescued you from the enemy of your soul.
The sacrifice of Jesus, by the will of the Father, and the testimony given by the Spirit of The LORD brought you life-saving redemption! Amen?
Now be strong in The LORD and the power of His might. Put on the whole Armor of God so that when you have done all, you can stand.
