This morning, God spoke the word, “Shoe to ME!” And he said the shoe is exemplifies the character and the service we do as people of God for those who are in need (sick, orphans, homeless, widows, and others who can not help themselves!) that the work of God is not blasphemed and evil spoken of in this season!

He said the spirit in which we do this service is important, because we are to do it as doing service unto God; and not unto man!

“And the LORD said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother’s keeper?” Genesis 4:9.

You see God said, “When ever a brother died and left his wife: the next brother in line would be left responsibility to take care of his family! But, now those left in care of the shoe (inheritance) don’t even care about NO body but there self!

The law of such a case is given at large in Deuteronomy 25:5-9. It was simply this: If a brother, who had married a wife, died without children, the eldest brother next in line was to take the widow, and raise up a family to the brother deceased; and he had a right to redeem the inheritance, (the shoe) if it had been alienated. But if the person who had the right of redemption would not take the woman, she was to pull off his shoe and spit in his face, and he was ever after considered as a disgraced man.”

God is calling the church and families and those whom he has richly blessed back to responsibility and care of the inheritance. It is the family, and church job to care for the inheritance and NOT to allow weeds to grow up in the vineyard! (1 Timothy 5:3-16; Isaiah 10:1-2)

In the present case, the shoe only is taken off, probably because the circumstances of the man were such as to render it improper for him to redeem the ground and take Ruth to his wife; and because of this reasonable excuse, the contemptuous part of the ceremony is omitted.

God is calling the Church and family (those who he has richly blessed) back to a place of building up the inheritance. Many times we as a people, believe the mission of the church is to collect money to build great cathedrals and to build a church to show off how many members we have but we have forgotten about our inheritance: (the true mission of the church!

You don’t need big cathedrals! You only have 10 members to your name and you are steady building more barns? Is God stupid? Does He lack wisdom or is He asleep?

Neither, do we need 100 pair of shoes and more clothes when we are NOT wearing the ones we left on the floor and are NOT taking care of them.

But God is saying, instead of thinking of yourself, think of someone else for a change! The poor, the sick, and the shut in and those who are less fortunate than ourselves in the kingdom!

I hear God saying that is time to STOP thinking about our own selfish desires and to begin to do kingdom work for the Lord! He said so many people are in need of help! Whatever, God has assigned to your hands it is time to do it and to do it with ALL thy might because the night comes and NO man can work! (John 9:4).

In other words, “Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven. Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth: That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly,” Matthew 6:1-4.

The shoe has been plucked off and I see spit in your face!
