All of us know there are those seasons of our life that do feel unbearable.
The emotional anguish and pain become overwhelming, and we feel like we have been overtaken by a wave that has dragged us into a relentless sea.
So in the sea of overwhelming, currents of emotional anguish and pain, everything seems dark and it seems bleak. And maybe the only hope that you can seem to get is the thought that one day you might escape this pain.
But I want to tell you that in the middle of this season of pain, God is there!
If you’re anything like me, you may want to go through this season of pain and anguish with your eyes clenched shut and your hands over your ears, just wanting to hide away somewhere in a corner and guard yourself against the pain.
You might just wanna withdraw we’re ignore it altogether. But what if I told you that you can open your eyes and you can see God in the midst of your valley?
You can unquenched those eyes and open them and look, and look again…… you will look back at this season and see The Hand of God and how he moved.
Just like God walked with Joseph as he was sold into slavery and thrown into prison for something he did not do, just like He walked with Moses when he was rejected and when it seemed that things were just getting worse and not better.
Just like those, God is working with you also, through the pain, through the trials He is there, and he is mighty.
And then the apostle Paul he is writing to the church in Corinth. And he reminds them that although they are going through hard times and persecutions even, God is with them.
So instead of waiting to look back, choose to look up while you are in this very difficult season and see The Hand of God.
You don’t have to wait to see God in hindsight. You can choose to see Him today!
Will you see him by Faith, and every promise He has made through the Holy Bible?
So right in the middle of the pain and anguish, when the pain is overwhelming look for Almighty God because the truth is that no matter how great the pain, the anguish, the trial GOD IS GREATER.
No matter how big the burden, God is BIGGER!
Pray with me today:
Dear God, help us to see that you are with us in the midst of our pain and our heartbreak, heartache, agony.
Help us to see your mighty hand.
Help us to recognize that you are bigger than any giant and stronger than any mountain we may have in our lives.
Help us to see you.
In Jesus’ mighty Name, Amen.
Only believe! God is so much bigger than the trial, even the season you are in.
“We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed — always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body.” 2 Corinthians 4:8-10.
