God’s qualifications for us for His use

God does not just look at the external qualifications like we do when He chooses the best people for a job.

What are these qualifications we look for?  Intelligence, wit, charm, strength, wealth, fame, power.  These are the things that make us put our faith in men.

But God knows better.

God knows He can bless someone with all of these things but truly, He looks for one quality we often fail to see.

God looks at the heart.

God looks at our willingness to do good and to put our trust in Him.  God looks at our willingness to be used for the best possible intentions God could ever have for us.

The truth is I am a broken person, but our God is our sweet Redeemer.  I am not enough, but He is.  He has invited me into something so beautiful and I choose to trust Him, even when everything within me is telling me this life and calling that He has on my life is crazy.

Today I choose to believe the truth that the Lord speaks over me and walk in the freedom He has already given me.  My prayer for you, wherever you are, is that you will do the same.

“But God chose what is nonsense in the world to make the wise feel ashamed. God chose what is weak in the world to make the strong feel ashamed”   1 Corinthians 1:27.
