The True Love of God Must be Lived
Good morning.
Let’s talk about love today by allowing the Scriptures to just speak for themselves mostly.
First I will share another article to hopefully keep us off the letter of the law:
Talking about True Holiness, Purity & Moderation in our Lives as Christians
“And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.” Mark 12:29-31
“Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.” Romans 13: 8-10
“Let all your things be done with charity.” 1 Corinthians 16:14
“For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.” Galatians 5:13-15
“Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out if a pure heart.” 2 Timothy 2:22
“And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.” 1 Peter 4:8-11
“My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.” 1 John 3:18
“And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. We love him, because he first loved us. If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.” 1 John 4:16-21
To close if you go back to 1 Corinthians 13, it is a powerful read!
We see the word charity is referring to ‘His divine love’.
It is His engrafted Word to our hearts (that becomes living and breathing) that empowers us to live a true righteous and holy life!
“Therefore lay apart all filthiness and the superfluity of wickedness, and receive with meekness the engrafted Word, which is able to save your souls.” James 1:21
We are not talking about a hemline religious mindset here, but true holiness of the heart as I shared before.

We are surely in the middle of a crooked and perverse generation.
Let’s shine and be a true light of Jesus Christ!
God bless you all.

Your welcome, Mary. I’m glad it blessed you. ❤️
Yes indeed, dear Joyce. I love this part..first we must identify!! “Identify and simplify.
Thou shalt love The LORD thy God with all thy heart, soul and very being and your neighbor as yourself. Post it!” YES AS YOURSELF..pause and think about that!! “And thou shalt love The LORD thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.” Mark 12:30. Thanks for the powerful reminder of true love. We can talk it but must walk it. We can speak it, quote it but we must live it! xoxo Sandi
