There have been thousands and thousands of books written on this subject and endless sermons spoken, still we yet search for all that Prayer is….

Of all the subjects we could study, none would be greater and more helpful then Prayer.

Some years ago I had an encounter with The LORD in Prayer, and this is what I begin to learn from The LORD:

Prayer is like traveling into another world, the spirit world to be exact, where God lives!

Prayer is the closet we will get to Heaven before our bodies are changed into his glorious image, and we stand before him in that heavenly City.

When one prays a Spiritual Prayer [prays in the Spirit] he really does go into the Spirit World, and there He talks to God who is Spirit.

The deeper you Pray the more you travel, touching heaven. One literally can come to “A Throne of Grace” — where one can find help in time of need!

Upon that Throne is Father God, and before Him is a Sea of Glass, and around The Throne on the Sea of Glass, are Angels, flying, and crying, “Holy! Holy! Holy! LORD God Almighty!” day and Night.

He who Prays, can go into that Heavenly Place and presents his request to God Himself, on a Sea of Glass and before all the Angels!

The writer of the Revelation said this about Praying in the Spirit:

“……….. immediately I WAS IN THE SPIRIT;: and, behold, A THRONE WAS SET in heaven, and ONE WHO SAT ON THE THRONE.
And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.
And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.
And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.
And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind.” Revelation 4:2-6

Compare the above verses with what the Apostle Paul wrote in Hebrews, about how one could go to a Throne of Grace to present his request:

“Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” Hebrews 4:14-16

One Does Receive “Help in the Time of Need”

What a beautiful description of Prayer.

I was praying one night and I heard The LORD say to me: “Set down Ken in a chair, because you are leaving your body now!”

I set down, and suddenly my spirit was lifted out of My body and I found myself standing up in The Heavens looking at beautiful stars.

I saw the most beautiful lights to one side coming towards me, and I asked The LORD, “What is that?”

He said to me, “Home!”

When He spoke to me then, I turned to see Him standing behind me, and He begin walking towards me until His Face was almost touching mine, and I looked into His eyes.

The LORD then said to me: “KD — You have been here before but did not understand.”

( I know inside He was talking about the time I was caught up in the Desert for over 9 hours before coming back down to the ground. All the while my body was slumped over in the chair, and I was gone … gone into the Spirit World. )

The LORD gave me this. He said, “Prayer is like that. When you Pray in The Spirit your spirit leaves out for Heaven. You touch heaven! There you talk to The LORD.”

Prayer is very Spiritual, and nearest thing to Heaven we will experience down here.

Like I said, the deeper you Pray in The Spirit, the further you go, and if you remain in Prayer a long time, soon you will experience the Heavenly Touch.

Many people who Pray in The Spirit, describe the Heavenly Touch, and even some said they could feel the touch of Angel wings.

Prayer then, is no light matter!

Never underestimate the value and power of Prayer.

Prayer is The Heavenly Talk with our Heavenly Father!

What a blessing then it is to talk to God Himself, The Creator of Heaven and earth. And to hear His Voice speaking.

I submit to you there is no better place to be — than Prayer!

The Word says in: Isaiah 56:7.

“Even them I will bring to My holy mountain, and make them joyful in My house of prayer.
Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices will be accepted on My altar; for My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations.”

One can see and understand then clearly The Scriptures that says that Enoch walked with God — and was not found for God took him!

“By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.” Hebrews 11:5

Questions then:

1) How much Faith do you have in Prayer?

2) How much and how deeply do you Pray?

I read the testimony of the Late Kenneth E. Hagin when he wrote and said one day he was touched with a heavenly touch and knew it was The LORD calling him to Prayer.

He was at a fellowship supper, and had to announce to his guest that He needed to go Pray. He left the supper and several men went with him to Pray.

When they got to his house, he went down on his knees and begin to pray. Suddenly Bro. Hagin said: I was caught up into another place and there I talked for a long time with The LORD and He told me many things.

When he finally came back to the room where he has begin praying, the other people were sitting staring at his body and said, where were you — you have been gone for hours?

They looked frightened, because they did not understand where he had gone..

Then Bro. Hagin begin to speak Prophecy about the next ten years.

One then can only imagine just how much Prayer means to us all. If we spent more time Praying, and less time wondering what to do, would we not know the answers?

Heaven could be touched and God moved to help us in all our troubles, if we only believed in Prayer!

More — much more — could be said about Prayer, and I have a feeling we are just touching the bounds of the subject.

Let us pray for God to help us Pray in The Spirit!
