“On the first day of the week we came together to break bread. Paul spoke to the people and, because he intended to leave the next day, kept on talking until midnight.
There were many lamps in the upstairs room where we were meeting. Seated in a window was a young man named Eutychus, who was sinking into a deep sleep as Paul talked on and on. When he was sound asleep, he fell to the ground from the third story and was picked up dead. Paul went down, threw himself on the young man and put his arms around him. “Don’t be alarmed,” he said. “He’s alive!” Then he went upstairs again and broke bread and ate. After talking until daylight, he left. The people took the young man home alive and were greatly comforted,” Acts 20:7-12.
For I hear The LORD saying,
“For too long, My Bride has been held back from the greater works that I have put in place for My Glory.
I have released a spirit of faith on the earth to walk as I walked and talk as I talked and perform supernaturally as part of a natural life style of My saints.
I release to you a mantle of signs and wonders, healings and miracles and the multiplied grace of the working of miracles, grace, power and authority to cast out demons, multiply substance and to RAISE THE DEAD!”
For says The LORD, “Just as in years gone by, My Saints would carry a mark and air of being spiritual by the hours they would spend in intercession, praying in tongues and in going on long fasts and so forth even now says your GOD I have raised the bar….
For from this moment forth, I release and multiply mantles of apostolic grace, signs and wonders.
I take the grace that was upon Me when I walked the earth and raised the dead and I bestow it upon My 21st century church.
Catch it, even as I throw it and release it to you, My sons and daughters!”
It’s time to work miracles and raise the dead!
Yes LORD, we catch this new rekindled anointing for signs and wonders in 2019 and beyond!
We take this mantle for the miraculous and to raise the dead from You
I see a holy boldness coming upon GOD’s people all over the earth.
It comes like a mist upon them and with it comes the outworking of the “gift of faith”, “working of miracles” and “signs and wonders” as displayed in the book of Acts; only this time it will be far, far, greater!
It was this grace that came (and again I see that mist) upon the church in Indonesia in the revivals there in the 1950’s.
It was this grace that came upon the progenitors of the Pentecostal movement (Joseph Babalola) and Charismatic movement (Benson Idahosa) in the nation of my ancestry, Nigeria.
Both of their ministries were birthed with raising the dead miracles. Joseph raised a young man from the dead in 1930 and sparked a nation-wide awakening.
Benson Idahosa did the same in the 70’s and proceeded to set the nation aflame!
Smith Wigglesworth laid the foundations for apostolic signs and wonders in he western world with over 20 raising the dead miracles in his ministry.
John G Lake again was used of GOD to light those same fires in Southern Africa and birth a denomination . . what is coming next . . . ???
I hear The SPIRIT of GOD saying, “IT IS TIME AGAIN TO RAISE THE DEAD! — It is time to prepare the way and set the scene for a Great Awakening in the nations of the world.”
I hear The LORD saying, “Just as raising the dead miracles and other notable miracles (Acts 4:16) were used by Me to pave the way in era’s gone by, so even, now I AM releasing (and have released) APOSTOLIC BOLDNESS to do the works of Peter, of Paul, of Smith, of Joseph, of Benson and countless others on the earth once more.
For says The SPIRIT of The LORD, I AM about to put the nations and the media in turmoil like they have never seen before, for My apostolic proof producers are set loose even now as I speak says Your GOD.
First there will be one news report, then another, then a myriad of incontrovertible undeniable signs and wonders.
Whole nations will turn to Me as no one will be able to deny, or gainsay My Love and My Power through the hands of My apostolically equipped and empowered Bride!”
How can these things be, many will ask?
“The natural man cannot receive the things of the spirit for they are spiritually discerned…(but)…we have the mind of CHRIST” 1 Corinthians 2:14-16.
Sovereign LORD, I pray for all who hear this message that faith and understanding would be ignited in their hearts (Amen).
Testimonies of People Being Raised Back From the Dead
I wish to share these stories from brothers and sisters who are personal ministry friends and colleagues from around the world.
I heard all these testimonies over the last few years first hand from each of them. (Save from those who have transitioned to Glory)
When JESUS raised Lazarus from the dead, He said that in them seeing this miracle they would see “the Glory of GOD”. A facet of GOD’s glory is revealed in sharing testimonies of miracles. I share these to the Glory of GOD.
“Faith comes from hearing” (Romans 10:17). We are all products of the people we associate with, of the things we hear.
I pray great faith and boldness come upon all who hear these things to the end that you go and do the same. Go and raise the dead! It is within your grasp!
Some may say, “Oh but won’t that make me become proud or puffed up?” the antidote to pride is simple; either humble yourself or if you are unable to – ask GOD to do it for you!
Ask Him to kindly and lovingly crush out of you all that may make you carnal and fleshly in your pursuit of Him and His greater glory on earth. Amen.
A ministry colleague of mine, Samson was on a visit to hospital in Ibadan, Nigeria. While he was there a man passed away on one of the wards. He went up to the body and commanded life to be restored. Pandemonium ensued as the dead spoke, walked and talked!
A friend Richard was visiting a very sick man regularly in Cape Town South Africa. One day he was told that the brother had passed. Undeterred he prayed with his wife and they went armed with some anointing oil.
They left after several hours with the family rejoicing! – the beloved husband and father had come back to life!
Caleb, a precious brother who lives in the USA shared how on hearing the news of his father’s decease, he said “NO!”.
GOD used him to bring him back to life on Earth for several more years, he also raised his mum back to life. He walks in the miraculous power of GOD.
“M”, a most precious saint and leader tells the story of his own father also a minister regularly raising the dead, he grew up with this being the norm.
When he got into university, he told everyone, “Nobody is going to die while I am here!”
One day people called for him, a pregnant lady had passed away. As he went to visit the lady, The LORD told him that it was because of a curse from her husband. He confronted the husband who revoked the curse, the lady was subsequently resurrected from the dead! Glory to GOD.
On another occasion “M” was due to preach at a church in the USA. When he arrived, he was told that the meeting was cancelled.
He was billed to minister on “Why miracles do no happen in the USA”. The reason for the cancellation was that the host minsters mum had passed away.
He managed to get to be taken to the funeral home and then needed to plead with the minster to be let into the room where all the grieving relatives were.
He was told he could pray but must be very quiet. “M” knelt at the foot of the hearse and held the feet of the 80-year-old lady, “LORD give me this miracle for Your Glory and fame!”
After several minutes he felt a throbbing in the feet of the dead woman — next thing the corpse began to sing! A holy mayhem ensued! Nobody had seen this type of thing before!
How did Benson Idahosa raise his first person from the dead? A few days after getting saved, the pastor of his church read from Matthew 10. Benson took it literally and proceeded to go on his bicycle all over his city looking for a dead person to raise back to life. Eventually late in the afternoon he found one. The rest is history.
Isaac recounts the story of holding a crusade in Ilorin, Nigeria. At the end of one of the night’s a lady rushed up to him.
She had persuaded her husband to bring her and their dead 3-year-old girl. She was believing for a miracle. Isaac took the corpse to his shoulder and continued a conversation with the people around him as if ignoring the issue.
He did not pause to pray. A few minutes later with the child still resting on him, the dead child began to cough! A miracle to the Glory of GOD!
Isaac recounts another story of a dead young man lying in hospital. He sent an object via one of his ministry helpers with the instruction that this was to be placed on him by the dead man’s sister until he rose from the dead.
After praying for most of the night holding on to GOD in faith, she fell asleep; she woke to see her brother sitting upright in bed and reading his bible. Amazing GOD!
“M” again shares a story of driving by the scene of a road accident with several fatalities lain on the side of the road.
He asked his driver to stop and went to see. He noticed that two of the men had “JESUS saves” lapel pins on, he wondered if maybe they were the only ones saved in their families, what would the rest of their families think?
Could their GOD not save them after all? He sat down on the side of the road and pulled the two dead bodies close to him, one on either side and prayed…. two young men were raised from the dead that day, spared from the grips of untimely death.
Ah JESUS we give You praise!
Biblical Precedents for Raising the Dead
We are familiar with the stories of JESUS raising Lazarus (John 11) and the young rulers daughter from the dead (Luke 8).
Also we would have read of Paul raising the young man Eutycus from the dead when he fell asleep and fell from a balcony (Acts 20) and that of Peter raising Dorcas from the dead (Acts 9).
When JESUS appointed the 12 apostles He gave them power and authority to release the miraculous, His commission to them was to “heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, RAISE THE DEAD and cast out demons” (Matthew 10:8).
This they undoubtedly did. The LORD JESUS longs for us to enter into realms of the miraculous where we answer His longing for His children to do the “greater works” (John 14:12).
3 Reasons We Are Called to Raise the Dead
1. It is not somebody’s time!
The devil is a thief! And a liar!
Lazarus – it was not his time. Dorcas – it was not her time. Eutychus – it was not his time!
It is not always somebody’s time. This is no one reason we are called to raise the dead.
2. To bring glory to GOD.
If you believe you will see the glory of GOD, said JESUS. Miracles reveal the glory and supremacy of GOD.
They foretell a time in the future when death will be destroyed. From time to time we are called to announce that life reigns over death!
3. To bring healing
When the disciples stood around Paul at Lystra in Acts 14 after he had been stoned to death, he stood up perfectly healthy and well with no concussion, no disfigurement, no internal or external bleeding from the stoning.
When we raise someone from the dead by the power of GOD they are simultaneously healed from whatever death took advantage of to kill them.
Raising the dead is a combination of working of miracles, gift of faith and gifts of healings all the power gifts working together! Praise and Glory to GOD!
The LORD is with you!
Will you make heaven happy and hell sad by joining the growing company of those who raise people from the dead?
A family around you may be about to be made bereft through the untimely passage of their loved one.
Will you respond to The SPIRIT of GOD and go and raise that person back to life?
You were called by GOD for this. The LORD is with you, waiting to “confirm His word with signs following,” (Mark 16).
