Your Prayers Carry a Fragrance
Our prayers carry a fragrance before the Living God and it burns hot like incense.
The scent of it fills the place where you are. . . . others begin to notice something distinctive about it, so when our lips and words carry that kind of weight.
We must guard what comes out of our mouths, because it can affect everything in our lives.
So when words which are evil are directed, and come at you to pierce you with arrows.
Think about this. . . “If I don’t speak words that sting, it won’t mean that I don’t know how to defend myself.
I know that everything I say right now has everything to do with how my life will go from here.”
So I will pray and speak to the Father words of life and blessings oiled with cries of intercession that carry virtue because what I say also orders the path of my life.
So I speak without inflicting pain. . . I will speak words that will enlighten. . . . I will pray the truth that will bring peace and cast light in dark corridors.
I will ask of the Father, “LORD what must I say, because my words have power and I must set a watch over them?”
“May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing to you, O LORD, my rock and my redeemer,” Psalm 19:14.
“(A Psalm of David.) O LORD, I call upon You; hasten to me! Give ear to my voice when I call to You! May my prayer be counted as incense before You; the lifting up of my hands as the evening offering. Set a guard, O LORD, over my mouth; keep watch over the door of my lips….” Psalm 141:1-3.
